Manuscript letter from Mrs. Hundley B. Baker of Springfield, Ill., to Mrs. Alvah B. Small, Assistant Librarian, Maine Historical Society, regarding "A letter of Jesus Christ," with a writing by "James Grant." She writes, "These old writings, long among my mother's papers, probably had belonged to her mother, Mrs. Hannah Elizabeth Pettingill Dolbee, (d. of Somers Pettingill) born at Bath, Me. 9/18 - 1820; d. 3/28 '99, Alton, Ill."
